Patricia shares her story about the painting: “I am especially fond of the early California Impressionists, who captured the raw beauty of California's hills and valleys. This painting pays homage to their work by depicting one of these fast disappearing areas of peace and calm.”

Patricia Jones is an award-winning Bay Area artist, who paints landscape and still life subjects in the Impressionist tradition.  She has studied at Stanford University, Scottsdale Artists’ School, Pacific Art League and in art workshops in France, Italy and Russia.  She is a member of Oil Painters of America and the Pacific Art League.

Patricia’s paintings have been juried into the Scottsdale Artists’ School “Best and Brightest” Show for 10 years in a row.  One of her paintings won First Place in this show and she has collected many other awards as well.  Her paintings have also been juried into American Art Collector’s annual art catalogue for many years. In 2021, two of her paintings were finalists in the local UArt Open and took home one of the top prizes. For the last two years and in 2023 she has been juried into the prestigious Triton Museum of Art’s Statewide Salon Show and last year won the Director’s Choice Award!

Patricia’s work is represented by the Portola Art Gallery and additional work can be seen at Richard Sumner Gallery, 628 Emerson Street, Palo Alto, and at Saint Michael’s Alley, 140 Homer Avenue, Palo Alto—where she is currently on display in the main dining room.
