Foothill Auxiliary has deep roots in sustaining Peninsula Family Service. Founding members of this south Peninsula group are daughters of the former Valley Auxiliary members who still donate spring baskets overflowing with gifts for teen parents and their children at Redwood High School. Foothill Auxiliary carries on this tradition of support through year-round activities, including their annual boutique, Holidays on a High Note. This unique, sell-out luncheon has become a mainstay holiday shopping event for many on the Peninsula.

The Foothill Auxiliary is a sisterhood of women who care for their communities and for each other. Members develop life-long friendships as they provide essential fundraising, financial, and volunteer support for Peninsula Family Service.

In 2016 FAPFS raised more than $50,000 through fundraising activities; including Holidays on a High Note 2016, donating gift bags to 100+ clients, supporting the PFS Fund-a-Need program, and helping with various volunteering activities.

Holidays on a High Note

The Foothill Auxilliary holds its annual "Holidays on a High Note" on the third Monday of October. By attending this event, guests have the opportunity to help families in need. All proceeds from ticket sales and the silent and live auctions, 20 percent of the boutique vendors sales, and the fund-a-need, benefit Peninsula Family Service.

This year, the Auxiliary is supporting efforts to expand our Financial Empowerment Program, which helps vulnerable families gain a foothold in financial stability.
