Foothill Auxiliary
Foothill Auxiliary has deep roots in sustaining the Peninsula Family Service. Founding members of this south Peninsula group are daughters of the former Valley Auxiliary members who carry on traditions of support through year-round activities, including their inspirational annual event, Holidays on a High Note. This unique event includes a luncheon, boutique shopping, floral demonstration, and array of tablescapes. The proceeds benefit Peninsula Family Service.
In addition to fundraising, Foothill Auxiliary members volunteer directly at PFS client centers, organize back-pack, book, and other drives to provide essentials for PFS clients, and donate gifts to make the holidays and special occasions a little brighter for the most vulnerable members of our community.
Foothill Auxiliary members develop life-long friendships as they work together to provide essential fundraising, financial, and volunteer support for Peninsula Family Service (PFS). We meet monthly to socialize, organize volunteer activities, and plan fundraising events to benefit PFS.
Examples of our fundraising and community service activities in 2024 and 2025 include:
raising about $100,000 from Holidays on a High Note 2024 to support PFS programs promoting youth financial empowerment;
assembling and giving backpacks to graduates of PFS Early Learning Centers to prepare them for Kindergarten;
delivering personalized holiday gifts to children at two Early Learning Centers;
hosting a Valentine’s Day party for Seniors at Fair Oaks Community Center; and
delivering teacher appreciation gift baskets to the faculty at Early Learning Centers.
